Mars Mineral provides agitation agglomeration technology and equipment to pelletize dust, fines, and powders into spherical pellets with consistent size and crush strengths. This process is accomplished via pin mixers and/or disc and deep drum pelletizers. This improvement in material handling characteristics facilitates downstream processing, including conveying, bagging, and repurposing of the material. Pelletizing is accomplished without pressure or heat but by the agitation of the material in the presence of a binder, usually water, producing seed pellets from 50 mesh/.297 mm to 1”/25.4 mm in diameter based on the application. Over the past 50+ years, Mars’ technology has become the centerpiece of many industrial processes and sustainability initiatives by turning tons of fines into premium quality agglomerate – from cement kiln dust to chicken manure to carbon black. Currently, the market demand is most evident where operators use our pin mixers to convert the powder generated from end-of-life tire pyrolysis into recovered carbon (rCB) pellets, which have many end-uses in consumer and industrial products. In addition, tire manufacturers who are buying rCB pellets require high-production capacities, so delivery of large quantities at consistently high quality is imperative. That’s why we provide material testing, engineering, and technical support. Mars helps you improve the consistency of your feedstock upstream to the pelletizer by taking your powder and generating pellets with our pilot-scale equipment to meet market specifications for that target industry. We also develop a customer-specific blueprint that can be used for installation and commissioning that demonstrates the capability, capacity, and process optimization for that equipment and application. Our support does not end after the sale. We ensure our customers’ lifetime value with continued technical support if needed. Monetize the global demand for recovered materials with Mars Mineral.
