MaNGOma Information

MaNGOma — Mutual Assistance for NGOs, for Mutual Advantage - is a UK-registered charity (CIO 1169841) that builds the capacity of grassroots non-governmental organizations to access funding, develop sustainable programmes, and connect to the networks that drive lasting change in their communities. We work alongside 16 partner organisations across 11 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, Latin America, and Europe. Each partner is locally rooted, independently led, and delivering frontline impact, in education, health, livelihoods, environmental conservation, disability inclusion, and community development in places that larger institutions do not reach. Small NGOs deliver the work but are structurally excluded from the systems that resource it. MANGOMA exists to close that gap; not by replacing local leadership, but by equipping it. We do this by sourcing and facilitating grants, providing capacity-building support through tools such as our Funding Intelligence Database and NGO Fundraising Toolkit, and facilitating the exchange of knowledge and expertise between our partner network and UK-based organizations and universities. We are a member of Bond, the UK network for organizations working in international development. MANGOMA works closely with volunteers from the University of East Anglia and wider UK university networks.
