Main Beverage Information

Main Beverage Company is a family owned beer and wine distribution company spanning three generations of operation. 2018 marks the 57th year in business. The business began in a building near the corner of Main Street and Gould Street in Owosso, hence the name Main Beverage Company. The building burned to the ground in the winter of 1966. With the help of fellow distributors from Flint, Lansing and Saginaw, Main Beverage Company was able to continue operations and make the move to where the business is located today at on Lansing Street in Owosso. Ironically, Main Beverage Company sustained a second fire in February 2011 while in the midst of its year-long 50th anniversary celebration. The entire operation was moved to Flint, missing only one delivery day. The Company operated out of the Flint facility for just over a year before moving back to the newly renovated Lansing Street location. Present day, the company employs 25 local, full-time people. Regular delivery routes service all of Shiawassee County and parts of Clinton, Saginaw and Genesee counties while commanding a 74% market share. Main Beverage Company's success has withstood the test of time and disaster. The Company has persisted by staying connected to the local market and by delivering superior customer care through strong partnerships, results driven initiatives and an unwavering commitment to community.
