MAGNOLIA WOODS CIVIC ASSOCIATION Information

MWCA is a voluntary nonprofit corporation that serves an area roughly bounded by Staring Lane on the east, Rodney drive on the west, Highland Road on the south, and Dawson Creek on the north. The MWCA Bylaws define the "Magnolia Woods Neighborhood" more precisely and specify that membership is open to owners or residents of residential property within that specified area. The Articles of Incorporation specifies that the association be led by at least six and no more than 12 directors. The traditional make-up has been 12 so association members have maximum opportunity to help lead the organization. Directors are elected to staggered three year terms; thus four positions come up for election each year. Board elections are held at the MWCA Annual Membership Meeting. Four officers lead the association: a president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. All serve one-year terms and are elected by the Board. The Board of Directors meets monthly on the second Tuesday of the month as advertised on the MWCA Calendar of Events.
