Magic Moments Information

Founded in 1984, Magic Moments has fulfilled the dreams of over 5,000 children in every county in the state of Alabama. We create the opportunity for children to forget the fear and pain of illness by giving them a chance to experience their very own magic moment. We offer Beyond the Moment events throughout the year at no cost to our families. Events include a weekend at Children’s Harbor on Lake Martin, a day at OWA Entertainment and Water Park in Foley, a visit to the Governor's Mansion for the Easter Egg Roll, and many other activities that keep our families connected. Parents tell us they simply want their child to laugh and play like a “typical” kid – to experience the joys of childhood that are missing when a child has spent much of their life in and out of hospitals. Physicians consistently confirm that a positive outlook can have a profound impact on the child’s progress and well-being, and a magic moment gives the child and the family the chance to escape from the world of doctors and hospitals to a world of magic and joy.
