Wilmar Sugar Australia is the nation’s largest sugar producer and a major provider of renewable electricity and bioethanol. Our joint ventures, Sugar Australia and New Zealand Sugar, market a range of sugar and sweetener products under the familiar brands CSR, Chelsea and Equal. We own and operate eight sugar mills in North Queensland, which together manufacture more than half of Australia’s raw sugar. We also manage one of Australia’s most advanced sugarcane farming operations, and a fleet of 80 locomotives that haul 18,000 cane bins over 1,600km of track to transport sugarcane to our mills. Our BioEthanol business is Australia’s largest manufacturer and distributor of sugarcane-based ethanol products. We produce 60 million litres of ethanol a year and have leading positions in Australia’s e10 fuel, food and beverage, pharmaceutical and industrial markets. This is complemented by an ever-growing range of traded industrial chemicals and specialty ingredients.
