Mobile museum guides. Russian museums The annual attendance of Moscow museums in 2009 year has reached 5 million. The Russian museum Hermitage had about 2.5 million visitors last year. Today the museum is not only a temple of science but also a valuable source of information, education and leisure. People want not just to look at the masterpieces but receive information. The problem But the problem is that most visitors at the museum usually become a “wandering visitor” who doesn’t know the pathway and doesn’t get valuable information about masterpieces. Existing solutions  Paper guides, effective but expensive (€10) and a little bit heavy,  Audio guides, slightly effective but expensive (€10) and a little bit complex,  Human guide, effective but too expensive (€50) and is not flexible. Idea Mobile museum guides:  Museums could simply create and distribute.  Visitors could simply upload and use. Mobile museum guide:  General information  Pathway & maps,  Info about masterpieces. Users:  Visitors would buy mobile guides,  Museums, publishing houses etc would use authoring tools and ecommerce platform to create and distribute mobile guides.
