Lumo offer several products dermatologist (and Forensic community): the LumoScan™ Total Body Photography system, which is currently only available to research organizations, rotates a small number of cameras and lights around the subject to reduce the cost of goods (cameras) used for ultra-high resolution imaging of the entire skin surface. In other words, LumoScan can automatically and economically document every lesion on the subject’s body and upload all the information to an EHR without the need for a dermatologist needing to spend any time with a dermatoscope or the EHR. The next offering, LumoTrack™ Software as a Medical Device (SamD), will be decision support software that can warn dermatologists of lesions that have substantively changed since a prior scan. The third offering in the line (third because it has the longest regulatory pathway), LumoScreen™ SaMD (the subject of the NSF funding), will be used by dermatologists or other trained healthcare professionals to screen the at-risk populations for skin cancers. Last but not least, LumoScan L closely resemble a dermatoscope cell phone attachment but with a very important difference, the L can also capture the location of the lesion on the body.
