Lumacept is a coatings technology developed for use with UV-C disinfection devices in healthcare and food-service facilities. Standard paint and wall coverings absorb 93-97% of germicidal UV-C light. Surfaces not in direct line-of-sight of the UV-C device are shadowed, resulting in less disinfection and very long disinfection times. Lumacept is designed to reflect UV-C in order to eliminate shadows and maximize the effectiveness of UV germicidal irradiation.
