Established in 2003, Luke Irwin specialises in the design and manufacture of hand-knotted custom made rugs. The driving principle behind Luke Irwin is to offer each customer complete control over their own rug. With choices to be made for the size, colour, weave, textile and design ensuring that every client receives a truly bespoke and personal service. As each of our rugs is individually hand made to order we are able to offer our portfolio of designs illustrated in this website in a huge range of colours in both wool and silk or a blend of the two. We also offer a fully bespoke service and accept client’s commissions for completely unique designs. Our rugs are hand knotted using traditional methods in Kathmandu, Nepal and in Jaipur, India. Each stage in the manufacture of our rugs is carried out completely by hand by highly skilled craftsmen; from the drafting to the carding, weaving, washing and hand finishing.
