Pakenham Secondary College is committed to providing all students with learning opportunities designed to develop socially responsible citizens and build pathways to their futures. This means that there is a belief that all students have the ability to learn and they are at the centre of all that we do. As a school it is our goal to provide a variety of learning opportunities for all students with a focus on the development of the whole student and creating viable options for their future.

Kooweerup Secondary College aims to provide a caring environment, one in which young people will come to recognise their unique worth. We actively insist upon students doing their best, being tolerant and respectful of others, honest and polite. Students are expected to be responsible for their own actions and sensitive to the needs of others. Our College is a moderate size, which allows us to develop a more personal approach. We believe our curriculum breadth, friendly atmosphere and high academic standards attract students whose parents see sound education as the basis of building a sound future for their children. To cater for individual needs, we have introduced over the past five years a 'Select Entry Accelerated Learning' (S.E.A.L.) class for academically gifted children; a Year 8 Language class for students with literacy problems; and the VCAL (Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning) certificate in addition to the VCE at Years 10, 11 and 12.

We believe in the importance of children learning to think carefully about their future. The school encourages all children to strive for academic achievement and personal growth in a learning environment that supports positive self-esteem, personal excellence and individuality. Warragul Primary School was the first major school to be built in the West Gippsland area and highly values our 130 year history of providing a fine education to generations of Warragul families.
