Local2
LOCAL2 is an online news provider that combines the best parts of a traditional television station with a newspaper. We are independently and locally owned, and we compete with the regional TV station and local newspaper in an effort to provide Sault Ste. Marie with the best quality locally-focused news coverage possible. Anchored by Jasmyn Rowley, our videos include a weekday newscast every afternoon, along with coverage of breaking news, interviews, greyhounds and other sports, and special productions like the Polar Express and a pre-Olympics interview with Team Jacobs. We are also proud to provide live streaming coverage of events including Bon Soo, Rotaryfest, and the Santa Claus Parade. In addition to our video coverage, we publish police reports and other news, photo galleries, obituaries, events, editorials and district news. LOCAL2 is updated throughout the day beginning at 7:00am, 365 days a year. Advertising on LOCAL2 provides local businesses with a powerful medium with which to reach a large and diverse audience. While the main demographic of traditional media continues to increase in age, our audience covers a much wider demographic including a lot of people in their 20s, 30s and 40s, giving our advertisers a much stronger impact.

Urban Harvest
Urban Harvest was started in January of 2000 by Lisa McIntosh and David Nelson, with the goal of connecting local growers and local eaters! We work hard to make the choice to eat organic both convenient and affordable for our customers in the Central Okanagan area, and through our weekly newsletters and community involvement, we aim to contribute to a local food culture that celebrates healthy, joyful eating. We are also deeply committed to being part of a more sustainable food system, and as such, we work closely with Okanagan farmers to ensure that we are able to buy as much of our produce as possible locally, reducing the distance from field to table. We support a number of local organizations with weekly food donations, and leftover produce that cannot be sold is donated to the Kelowna Food Bank each week. We also pass on scraps to local bunnies and chickens! Anything that cannot be donated is taken to the green waste section of the Kelowna Landfill. Meet The Urban Harvest Team! David manages warehouse operations and deliveries. If you're a Thursday customer, you may have seen at least the tail-end of David as he makes your deliveryhe is a speedy guy! David's time spent as an employee of an organic Echinacea farm in Grindrod and a former business owner here in Kelowna, combined with his general interest in environmental and community-based alternatives to conventional markets, fueled his desire to start an organic food delivery service in Kelowna back in 1999. After many years of 14 hour days, David has more recently been able to pass on a portion of his workload to the rest of the team, so he can explore other passions, such as music and therapeutic touch. He continues to show his personal commitment to the environment by commuting to the warehouse by bike whenever feasible, even if that means donning a ski mask at 5am on an icy winter morning! In his non-working hours, David enjoys being at home with his family, disc golf, biking, hiking, music, and spending time in his second living room, the Chai Baba ...

The Pantry
The Pantry Hospitality Corporation is a strong, family run business exclusively owned and operated by the founders, Mike, Violet, and their son Mike A. Hoffmann. The Hoffmann's are thoroughly committed and actively involved in further developing and expanding The Pantry Restaurants throughout the Canadian Market. The Pantry's concept is based on the principle of purchasing the highest quality products available. We then prepare these fresh and wholesome ingredients to create outstanding meals for our guests. The word "Pantry" comes from an old British term used to identify the place where "fresh food" is kept in a home. Every decision that is made in our Corporate Office runs through the same filter; does this recipe or formula meet our Pantry Standards, and is it the best quality food we can produce? For example, in our kitchens we still boil potatoes and mash them, we don't use instant. We also cook our roast beef and turkey in our ovens, we don't use processed meats; and we purchase our products from only Federally Inspected Protein Houses.
