LNESC Information

LNESC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides scholarships, educational programming, resources, and leadership empowerment to students across the United States and Puerto Rico. The impact made across communities nationwide are made possible through LNESC's network of field staff, educators, sponsors, local LULAC councils, and dedicated students. Our 16 education centers are at the forefront of helping disadvantaged students across the United States and Puerto Rico. Each center is uniquely operated to best serve the surrounding communities, but every center's foundation starts with our Department of Education TRIO Programs, known as Upward Bound, Upward Bound Math & Science, and Talent Search. From there, centers offer an array of programs, depending on availability and partnership focus. These programs include a range of topics including college access, literacy, science, technology, health, and leadership development. LNESC also provides a number of diverse scholarship opportunities and resources, which include awards that range in award amount and eligibility criteria. As of 2025, we’ve served over 607,000 students, supported 159,000 in attending college, and awarded more than $30 million in scholarships.
