Living Waters Lutheran School Information

It aims to provide high quality primary education underpinned by Christian values and a Lutheran approach to education which recognises all children as uniquely and wonderfully created and gifted by God. We are a multi-cultural school. Our students come from many cultural backgrounds and any number are bilingual. Our school features hectares of beautiful green, reticulated grounds and ovals. The brick school buildings feature modern, reverse cycle air-conditioned classrooms, a resource centre, dedicated learning support spaces, canteen and a multi-purpose chapel/hall. In addition to the work of the teachers, learning at Living Waters is supported by a team of assistants who work with students individually and in small groups. A 1-1 ipad program and computer facilities throughout the school, including a dedicated computer suite in the resource centre, ensure students develop their ICT skills and access a range of programs which enhance their learning. Living Waters classroom and specialist teachers use the Australian Curriculum as the basis for their lesson planning and reporting. Living Waters has a whole school focus on positive behaviours. These are explicitly taught and modelled. The daily routine of the school also includes the proclamation of God's word through whole school and class devotions. Christian Studies is part of the core curriculum. We encourage the children to come to know God as our loving and forgiving Father, who is a life time friend and helper. Living Waters school is governed by a school council elected by the Alice Springs Lutheran Church Congregation at its annual general meeting.
