We also service customers Australia-wide through our online store. We want to show you how easy it is to be more eco-conscious of the products you buy, whether for yourself or gifts for others. Mum has always been wary of chemicals in cleaning products, make up, hair care etc, as well as chemicals in food, so my brothers and I were brought up in an environment where we were encouraged to think twice about things before we used/consumed them. I have been a Nutritionist for the last 6 years and so my passion for helping people eat well and feel good slowly splashed over into the environment. Mum and I had been making small changes over the last few years (I reckon Mum has had reusable bags for the supermarket for as long as I can remember!) from toilet paper, to cleaning products, to personal care products as although we were both already wary of these, we were still able to make adjustments to make even better choices than we were already making. The idea for Live Eco came about as Mum and I wanted to be a hub for everyday eco items, we wanted people to pick something up in their home, such as a peg, and for them to know that there was somewhere they could go that would be likely to have the eco alternative or at least be a wealth of information if not. We also wanted to make looking after the environment really easy for people, which is where the idea to be a Terracycle drop off and to collect metal lids came from, as well as our Live Eco Parties where we go to people's houses to educate and show them what products are out there that they can swap to be more eco-friendly. We want to make a difference, and we hope that we can spark the fire in you to want to make a difference too. Heather & Erin XX
