Linden Hall Studio Information

Linden Hall Studio is a self-funded, independent, family run, contemporary art gallery in Deal, Kent. We run an exhibition programme of 11 shows a year, featuring the very best of contemporary art, offering a wide range of events including lectures, masterclasses, workshops, film screenings. Our aim is to become a centre for all visual arts. For four years our gallery has fulfilled this aim, being a space on the South East coast, which confidently and successfully exhibits the very best of contemporary art. We have a programme of 10 major shows and our highly regarded Winter Group Show, which allows 50 open submission spaces from all over the world. In May 2018, Linden Hall Studio was invited to become a face of British rail, as part of the ‘Britain Runs on Rail’ campaign, highlighting Linden as representative of businesses which play a pivotal role in drawing culture, industry and investment out of London into Kent and the South East. We were consequently invited by The Building Centre, Fitzrovia London to hold an exhibition, showing the work we were doing, for the creative development of Kent for 6 months of 2018 raising the profile of what could be achieved for British art outside of London’s West End & large UK cities. Linden Hall Studio won 'Kent’s Best Art Gallery 2019’ an award which celebrates and supports the most unique, interesting & brilliant local businesses - we are extremely proud to be at the forefront of this. Our ethos as a gallery encourages those who wishes to engage with the arts the opportunity to do so. We regularly show a multitude of established and respected artists – but gallery also works very hard to feature emerging talent, using our ever growing reputation to enhance and develop burgeoning careers. Alongside our exhibition and events programme, we work towards expanding arts education - with weekly drawing classes, a monthly masterclass.
