At Ability Beyond, we discover, build and celebrate the ability in all people. Our organization is dedicated to empowering every person, no matter their ability, to have the opportunity to live, work and thrive as an integral part of their community. We serve 3,000 adults with disabilities annually throughout Connecticut and New York, and support employment for people with disabilities nationwide with our affiliate consulting group Disability Solutions. For over 60 years, Ability Beyond has pioneered ways to help thousands of people with physical and mental disabilities to discover their abilities and become an integral part of their communities. Today, with over 3,000 people benefiting from our services across New York and Connecticut, we are at the forefront in developing innovative programs and best practices that are being recognized and adopted on a national level. Through our groundbreaking programs in community job training and placement, supported living, and recreational and educational enrichment, we empower the individuals we serve to live full and rewarding lives. We are always going beyond – to ensure that the people we serve have a place to call home, enjoy independence through work, and have a forever home where they can age with dignity. We are a 501 (c) (3) organization headquartered in Bethel, CT and Chappaqua, NY.

Since 1965, we've helped the Valley's most in need reclaim their lives from poverty and unemployment by preparing them for successful careers in high-demand fields. JobTrain transforms personal motivation and potential into real skills that are the foundation for self sufficiency and self-worth. In addition to “vocational training,” we understand that these fundamental transformations require a high school diploma, computer literacy, an interview outfit and ongoing encouragement, as well as access to basics like housing, transportation, counseling and childcare.
