Lightwell designs virtual sets and virtual production environments for major broadcasters and global sporting events - rigorously prepared to run in real time. We combine architectural design thinking with deep technical fluency in Unreal Engine, building environments that are visually compelling, editorially flexible, and technically robust. Our clients include BBC Sport, ITV, CNA, Bloomberg, Sky, and Discovery, and our work has been seen by news and sports audiences across the Olympics, the Euros, Six Nations, La Liga, and the Premier League. The BBC Sport Paris Olympics coverage, for which Lightwell designed the virtual studio, won the BAFTA Award for Best Sports Coverage in 2025 and the IOC Golden Rings Award for Best Innovations in 2024.
