Lightning Composites ( LC ) was first established in 1996 by founder Bruce Mooring after 12 years in the marine composites industry building such things as F1 power boats, 14 foot skiffs, as well as a long time developing prototypes and tooling for companies like Seafarer Boats to name only one. With a passion for motorsport and knowledge of advanced composites Lightning Composites was born. Now in their 16th year Lightning Composites has been supplying composite components to V8 Supercar teams such as 888 Racing and Dick Johnson Racing to name only two, in fact every supercar in the series has Lightning Composites parts on board! Lightning Composites also has a strong presents in the World Time Attack Championships, building this years third place in the Pro class and 1st, 7th and 10th in the open class. Not limited to motorsport alone also building prototypes for a diverse range of customers from weapon systems to transport and custom motor bikes.
