LifePod was founded by a team of entrepreneurs who tried to monitor and support their own parents from a distance when the only tools available were smart phones and press-the-button pendants. After frustrating, even tragic, personal experiences, and in-depth research with industry leaders, we decided it was time for a new model of connected care for the elderly aging-in-place and for those with chronic conditions or special needs in their homes. We conceived of LifePod, the first proactive-voice Virtual Caregiving Service: Making those we care for happier, healthier and safer in their homes, and providing valuable data and increased peace of mind to their professional and family caregivers.
