Let's Go Forward CIC Information

Let’s Go Forward came about in response to the redundancies announced by Thomas Cook in 2019 The initiative centred around an event which aimed to give people skills, support and inspiration to help in their search for work. Although the event was primarily targeted at ex TC employees, no one was turned away. As a result of the event Let’s Go Forward created a community including those who have either experienced redundancy or are still looking for work, local service and training providers who are keen to support job seekers, and local businesses who are either keen to contribute or might be looking for employees. Let’s Go Forward is not a jobs fair or training and support organisation. It does not offer expert advice in employment or redundancy matters (although it may put members in touch with people who can). It is a community support group that recognises the specific psychological and economic impact of redundancy and provides a space to share experiences, gain skills and confidence and connect people so they can take the next step.
