Layback Information

Layback is a boutique surf camp and hostel, located in the heart of Weligama, Sri Lanka. With the beach only a few minutes away from our doorstep, surfing is part of our daily routine. Yet, despite of its buzzing location in the midst of local life, Layback is a quiet getaway for surfers and travellers. Layback opened its doors in 2017. Our vision was and is to create a friendly, laid-back and creative space for like minded travellers. A place that is intertwined with the local Weligama life to give our guests the opportunity to experience and learn about this place we are very happy to call home. Layback is made by surfers and travellers. We know the importance of a good night sleep, clean and stylish rooms and communal spaces for socializing, cooking and solo-time. But, Layback is much more than just a place to stay when you visit Weligama. Our tranquil oasis is a place to recharge after a long day at the beach, to breathe and relax, to be creative, to work or simply to enjoy a cold beer. We have developed and created our vision of our ultimate hideaway for surfers and travellers!
