LandWorks Information

LandWorks is an award-winning rehabilitation and resettlement charity providing a supported route back into employment and the community for people leaving prison or at risk of going to prison. Our training centre - including workshops, a market garden and small pottery - is based on the beautiful Dartington Hall Estate in South Devon. Our mission is to reduce reoffending, support individual transformation, and change wider societal attitudes towards people affected by the criminal justice system. Our method combines real work experience with comprehensive resettlement support in a safe, non-judgmental environment where participants (we call them trainees) can gain the social and employability skills that will enable them to develop a crime free identity and to rebuild their lives. Since LandWorks was established in 2014 we have supported over 250 trainees and recorded consistently low reoffending and high employment rates. Our work enjoys increasing recognition within the criminal justice and wider community. In July 2024, LandWorks was thrilled to win the 'Overall Award for Excellence' at the 2024 Charity Awards.
