Landmarks for Families, formerly Carolina Youth Development Center (CYDC), is a 501(C)3 nonprofit supporting children and families in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. For more than 230 years, our organization has evolved to meet our community’s needs and provides holistic residential and family programs in safe environments that empower those we serve to find a new, hopeful direction. Our Mission: To cultivate thriving children and families. Our Vision: Our vision is that all children will have loving and stable families and a nurturing community empowering them to lead successful lives. Due to the nature of our work and our clientele, Landmarks for Families upholds strict community guidelines for posting and commenting on all of our social media channels. 1. The use of profanity or hate speech is not allowed. 2. Any post, review or comment naming a resident (former or current) or client (former or current) will be immediately removed from our page unless it is posted by a current or former resident or client over the age of 18 and not residing in the state’s care. 3. We do not allow any content that contains sexually explicit, copyrighted or illegal content. All content pertaining to these materials will be immediately removed.
