L1 Information

L1 is a regional public media organization in Limburg, one of the 12 provinces in the Netherlands, serving its 1,1 million inhabitants. As a public station, L1 receives most of its budget from the provincial government. The broadcasting license is held by the Stichting Omroep Limburg, a foundation which defines program policy for the station. L1 translates these policies into programs for radio, TV, teletext, internet and new media. As a public station, L1 should reach a wide range of the Limburg population, regardless of age, gender, race etc. Currently, the L1 programs are focused on the following three areas: News, Sports and (Live) Events. These are mentioned as our three core activities.
