Kurius Information

Kurius is a non-profit organisation that was created to provide the tools necessary for the youth to change the world with technology. At Kurius, we strive to promote quality tech education by working with world-class organisms, companies, mentors and educators in order to provide the best possible resources for our students. Our unique Kurius Programs are designed specifically to: 1. Implement continuous project-based learning. We let students apply in context the information that they have learned through educative workshops, in order to not only reinforce their knowledge but, more importantly, develop their skills. Students will have to come up with and present their Kurius project to experts in the field at the end of each 5-week program. We offer students a constant supply of Kurius Programs (ex: Kurius Web Development Program, Kurius Robotics Program, etc.) to partake in throughout the year, so they are constantly stimulated intellectually. 2. Be accessible to all. At Kurius, we strive to make our programs accessible to all students around the country who are interested in tech education, even if they are not physically present at the program. We do that first by making all of our programs entirely free. We also publish publicly all of our curriculum, which includes the workshop contents (presentation slides, PDFs and live video footage), our project guidelines and our judging criteria on our website. 3. Create a Kurius community. Kurius Programs strive to bring together students and professionals. Far too often, the lack of resources, connections, and sense of community inhibits many curious students from completing their ambitious projects, as they lose motivation due to the absence of a support system. Kurius hopes to change that by letting members of the Kurius community constantly interact and help each other in real life. This sense of a new family will empower members to keep pushing forward in whatever endeavor they are pursuing.
