Kshitij Information

Kshitij is a Mumbai-based NGO providing vocational and functional skills training to adults with intellectual challenges caused due to brain damage, autism, Down syndrome, and the like. Formed in 1997 by mothers of four special children, today Kshitij provides a safe space to several such individuals whose families struggle with their special children's prospects as adults. Kshitij wards are trained in two sheltered workplaces, to work on hand crafted products, confectionery items, and snacks. Therapeutic interventions like counseling, music, dance and occupational therapy are enabled for their all round development. Our products make excellent corporate and personal gifts and are sold at our workplace at Opera House, as also through various exhibitions held in the city of Mumbai in India.
