Thames & Kosmos UK (T&K UK) was set up in 2010 to operate as the exclusive distributor for the European English Language science kits of German-based publishing house, Franckh-Kosmos Verlags-GmbH (Kosmos). In 2015, T&K UK added Kosmos board games to the ever-growing catalogue, in the past three years board games have grown to now account for more than a third of T&K UKs overall turnover. In 2017 T&K UK decided to separate the two sectors, and establish board games under Kosmos Games, in keeping with the board game branding. In March 2018 Kosmos Games partnered with The Devir Group, who are board game publishers and distributors founded in Brazil in 1987. Devir look to establish roots in the imaginative universe of fiction and fantasy, offering products that involve wits, knowledge, art, and social interaction, perfectly complimenting the Kosmos range.
