Authentic Karate-do. Efficient fighting for life-saving goes along with self-development, friendship, values, lifestyle & culture. Kofukan ist the official representative of Tani-ha Shito-ryu Karate-do. Our direct teachers (Master Higaonna, Master Itosu, Chojun Miyagi, Kenwa Mabuni, Chojiro Tani, Master Fujimoto, The Doshisha Oldboys, Keji Tomiyama and Naoki Omi) brought the efficient martial art experience from the war on Okinawa island to Doshisha University Karate Club in Japan. We meet our teachers about six times every year and regularly travel to Japan to improve our experience, martial art network, Karate-do lifestyle and Karate-do values.
