KiwiTech started in 2009, right around the time we left Aptara, the publishing services company we'd built and scaled to over 5,000 employees worldwide. We were already in conversation with a handful of startups, and those conversations turned into something bigger, a consultative approach to technology work that we've carried from day one, applying the same process, technology, and capital-raising experience from Aptara to a very different kind of partner, working selectively with startups and enterprise leaders alike to help them build toward their own version of that outcome. We look for the same things in the founders we partner with that we once looked for in ourselves: conviction, an honest grip on the problem, and a willingness to build something hard without pretending it's easy. What we offer each partner is shaped by who they are and what they actually need. Working across HealthTech, FinTech, EdTech, SportsTech, retail, real estate, and travel and hospitality means we rarely see a problem that stays inside the lines of just one industry. 17+ years in, we've built one of the more established startup ecosystems in the world, a network of 800+ portfolio startups, 3,500+ investors, and 300+ mentors, and a client list that includes McKinsey, Accenture, P&G, the World Bank, Lockton, HomeVestors, Elsevier, Quasar Markets, Saudi Arabia Railways, and Springer. Those first conversations in 2009 taught us what founders actually need from a partner. We've been trying to give them exactly that ever since.
