Since 1949, KIVY has been the place to turn for daily coverage of local news, weather and sports, plus special events. Today, we are still the only daily media outlet whose primary focus is covering the local events in Houston, Trinity and Leon counties. Our entire morning drive (6 to 10 am) is devoted to local news and information. And, our broadcast center is located in the heart of our trade area, on the square in downtown Crockett. We've been broadcasting and serving our communities since 1949. KIVY was founded by Jim Gibbs, in our entire history, the station ownership and management has only changed one time. Leon Hunt is the current owner/general manager.
