JustDifferent Information

JustDifferent delivers subsidised, interactive and educational disability awareness workshops for schools, written and created by people with disabilities. Founded in 2008 by Toby Hewson who was born with Cerebral Palsy, JustDifferent is named purposely to convey the fact that we are all unique and our differences should be celebrated rather than used against us. In the past ten years, over 197,000 children have taken part in over 6000 workshops, along with over 12,000 adults. Anti-bullying workshops informed by current educational and psychological thinking, demonstrate by having a go at using adapted equipment to learn how a disabled person can manage everyday life, such as wheelchairs, communication aids and other items. This is an innovative charity which aims to educate the leaders, employees and employers of tomorrow's generation, how to work in increasingly inclusive environments.
