Just Practice Yoga Information

Just Practice Yoga has been offering a 200 hour foundational yoga teacher training since 2006. This course is designed to give participants a solid foundation in yoga techniques, teaching methodology, anatomy, ethics and philosophy. Whether you want to teach yoga, or are an experienced practitioner looking to have a deeper understanding of things, this is where to start. The 300 hour advanced teacher training is for graduates of a 200 hour program who wish to further their knowledge and abilities as teachers. It focuses on learning thoughtful sequencing, and honing language skills and hands-on adjustments. We get into more depth with analyzing and teaching to the unique anatomy of the individual student. Lively discussions on yoga philosophy as well as ethics of being a teacher are also covered. One-on-one mentoring time with the Director is a key part of the program. Participants will design and teach private lessons, workshops, yoga for beginners, and yoga for intermediate level students. We were the first yoga teacher training program in Missouri to receive certification to operate by the Missouri Department of Higher Education.
