Jitsu-Do Karate Information

With a focus on practicality and a scientific approach, Jitsu-Do Karate shows students ways to defend themselves, get in shape and be positive members of society. The three pillars of Jitsu-Do Karate are self-defense, fitness, and character development and are each reinforced in students through deliberate practice and holding the highest standards. All of our techniques and concepts are constantly being evaluated to see if improvement is possible and when it is, we adopt the better version to always be at the cutting edge of available knowledge. Jitsu-Do Karate is derived heavily from Chito-Ryu Karate-Do but also borrows from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Kobudo and other martial arts to produce a well-rounded system that eliminates waste and focuses on improvement and results. With a focus broader than only striking, as one would find in traditional karate, Jitsu-Do Karate students learn how to transition between different modes of self-defense to make them well-versed in protecting themselves wherever a fight might take place.
