Our internationally recognized program also brings in top instructors from around the world for special workshops on a variety of subjects. Head Instructor, Shifu Billy Greer (Disciple name 陈德礼 – Chen DeLi) was born in Trinidad, West Indies. He and his wife Nancy are the owners of the Jing Ying Institute of Kung Fu and Tai Chi near Annapolis, Maryland, USA. Open since 2000, Jing Ying Institute provides training in Tian Shan Pai Kung Fu, Sun Style Tai Chi, and Chen Style Tai Chi. Shifu Billy studies Tian Shan Pai kung fu, training directly with GM Willy Lin, the person who first brought Tian Shan Pai Kung Fu to the US. Grandmaster Lin asked Shifu Billy to become his formal indoor student and he went through a traditional BaiShi ceremony to become his Disciple and a Third Generation inheritor of Tian Shan Pai. He has participated in Disciple-only training sessions in the US and in Taiwan, learning push hands, fighting techniques, qinna, weapons and more. Jing Ying Institute is one of only three schools teaching Tian Shan Pai Gong Fu under a disciple of GM Willy Lin. Shifu Billy studies Tai Chi directly with Grandmaster Chen ZhengLei. GM Chen invited Shifu Billy to become his In-Chamber Disciple, and the only foreigner to undergo this traditional BaiShi ceremony in China. He is one of only 3 USA In-Chamber Disciples, and the only one not born in China. He is a 12th generation inheritor of Chen Family TaiJiQuan, has been recognized in China with an award as an Outstanding International Teacher. Under the Chen ZhengLei Tai Chi Federation, he is a Level 7 Certified Instructor, an International Instructor Examiner, the East USA Director, and President of the Jing Ying Branch.
