Founded at the end of the Second World War, the United Nations is an international organization made up of 193 Member States committed to maintaining international peace and security. Grupo Venemergencia is a conglomerate dedicated to provide health services in Venezuela. It was established in 2004 and employs 130 Venezuelans. It is composed of five companies and one non-profit organization. The companies focus on emergency medical services (Venemergencia); homecare services (Clini-Casa); laboratory services (Venelab); occupational health services (Veneocupacional); and technology for telemedicine and mobile health (Venetecnologia). The non-profit organization (Fundacion Venemergencia) educates paramedics in association with the Universidad Simón Bolívar and establishes emergency medical brigades in shantytowns, as a means for developing a sustainable model of emergency care for vulnerable communities.
