The Internship Institute is an impact-driven non-profit organization dedicated to “Making Internships Matter” by bridging the gaps between college and employment. Our mission is one of opportunity creation by connecting education, employment, and economic development in ways that cultivate prosperity for individuals, organizations, communities, and the economy overall. FIVE FOCUS AREAS: EDUCATION Develop and deliver education programs and solutions for internship program providers, educators, workforce development groups, and individuals. COLLABORATION Engage leaders, practitioners and supporters to provide solutions that serve a collective interest and advancement of internship best practices and innovation. INNOVATION Foster ever more effective ways to forward our mission through partnerships, listening to fellow providers and advocates of on-the-ground practices that ready interns for hire. ADVOCACY Work for appropriate guidelines for interns and employers and assure compliance, equal opportunity and protection against abusive and counter-productive practices. RESEARCH Actionable, high-impact data to build the case for internships and firmly establish TII as the trusted source for those invested in the success of internships.
