The Institute for Learning (IfL) is the professional body for teachers, trainers and assessors in the further education and skills sector, including adult and community learning, emergency and public services, FE colleges, the armed services, the voluntary sector and work-based learning. IfL is governed by members, for members through an Advisory Council of 40 elected Members and up to 20 representatives from partner organisations. Now exceeding 200,000 Members (as at the end of January 2010), IfL is committed to the building the professional status of our members and the learning and skills sector.
