Instinctive Combat Arts Information

Established in 2016. Instinctive Combat Arts is a Veteran owned and family ran Martial Arts school. We teach Kenpo Karate and Combative Knife as a form of Self Defense. Group classes are available to men, women, and kids over the age of 8 years old. Kenpo Karate was created as a way to defend against single and multiple attackers. It is known for its quick flurry attacks to the upper and lower body. Combative Knife/Hand to Hand follows the curriculum from Grandmaster Harry Greene. Grandmaster Greene is retired Special Forces (Army). The student learns distancing, footwork, angles of attack, defense, and offense techniques. The Combative Knife system is only available to those who are 13 years old and above due to the content. Although requests can be made by the child's parent or guardian to allow them to train. We focus on instilling confidence, self respect, respect for others, and discipline. Instinctive Combat Arts started as a dream. To teach the Martial Arts and bring two Self Defense styles to the Yuba Sutter area that isn't currently available in one school. We are a family ran business. We taught Kenpo Karate and Combative Knife/Hand to Hand in our garage initially back in 2015. Then we were lucky enough to team up with a local gym and teach out of there for a little over a year. Then in October 2016 we were able to move into our own facility at 312 Teegarden Ave in Yuba City. We teach children 8 years old and up and adults.
