Innovative Test Prep, (ITP) Inc. was founded in 1998 at Stony Brook University by two former Stony Brook undergraduates who tutored General & Organic Chemistry to small groups of students as a means to make a little extra college money as they pursued medical school. However, their small tutoring "gig" slowly grew into a passion for teaching and helping students "shatter the learning barriers" in college chemistry. Their unique & innovative style of breaking down difficult chemistry concepts soon became very popular and in high demand by students as they experienced higher test scores. It was just a matter of time that their small group sessions exploded to mass-scale proportions with up to 250 students in one sitting. In 2004, the two joined forces and ITP was born. The University contracted with them to build their own high-tech tutorial center on the campus where they were able to provide high quality tutoring for Stony Brook students through the use of Computerized Smartboard Technology. Their unique teaching methodologies became known as the ITP Learning System. After 8 years of teaching at Stony Brook University, their long term mission finally became a reality. In 2006, with the help of a talented team of students, faculty and corporate sponsors, ITP has now successfully expanded their concept to all Universities nationwide via the internet. We currently offer FREE online video tutorials in Biology, Calculus & Chemistry. And will be adding 15-20 new online courses within the next year for FREE!
