Each class teaches a fundamental understanding of the forms, basic principles and body mechanics of the style. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a self-defense, combat sport, and martial art. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a grappling style focusing on positional control and submission holds. First developed by the Gracie family in Brazil and since spread world wide, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a main stay with MMA Fighters, Martial Artists looking to add or strengthen their ground fighting skills, or for individuals looking for a practical self defense and exercise program. Mauy Thai, also known as "the science of eight limbs", is a kickboxing style originating in Thailand. Being the first of the Southeast Asian kickboxing styles to be modernized, Muay Thai is the primary striking style of the vast majority of Mixed Martial Arts competitors. Muay Thai fighters throw strikes using punches, kicks, elbows, and knees from distance and from a close grappling range known as the clinch. Krav Maga is the official self-defense and fighting system of the Israeli Defense Forces. It is recognized as the most efficient self-defense system for real-life situations; emphasizing practical defenses against real attacks. Krav Maga is a very modern and practical style of self-defense. Boxing is a combat sport and challenging form of exercise, the "Sweet Science" of boxing is another standout program at Infinite FC MMA. Our program is perfect for anyone looking to get in to shape or continue their boxing training. MMA competition is an honorable means of combat where fighters are given the opportunity to evaluate themselves and their training methods under stress. Lightweight, fingerless gloves are worn, and there are weight classes and time limits like other combat sports. In our classes, students learn to combine their striking and grappling skills to be a complete, well rounded martial artist. Judo is a martial art and combat sport from Japan. A throwing and grappling art that trains fighters both on their feet and on the ground, Judo teaches techniques that allow you to turn the force of an attack against the attacker. Our programs will help you or your child develop essential methods of protection and give you the self-assurance to succeed in all aspects of life. Our kids programs (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai) learn not only self-defense and the ability to "defeat the bully," but emphasis will also be placed on character development, leadership, poise, coordination and attention.
