IndigiNet is a key player in the development of the global Indigenous Internet and Multimedia movement. Goals: To facilitate access by Indigenous community organisations and individuals to the internet. To assist community organisations to maintain ownership of their cultural property and to maintain control over its selective transmission. To encourage and facilitate Indigenous employment and business development utilising the internet and multimedia technologies. To establish news groups and build ecconomic, social and political networks on the internet. To develop learning networks where Indigenous people can access information, share information, solve problems collectively and develop appropriate sollutions. To provide a mechanism for the development of bottom up political structures and processes by developing Indigepol as a closed disscussion group for community activists. To provide Indigenous cultural information to the wider community where the Indigenous community maintains control over its transmission. To provide training in interactive multimedia.
