The National Lottery Community Fund has a critical role to play in supporting communities to unleash their energy and potential so they can get to where they want to be. We are one of 12 distributors of National Lottery funding. We work closely with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and the license holder for The National Lottery, currently Allwyn, to distribute National Lottery funding across the UK. Social connections and community activities are at the heart of creating healthier, happier lives and a flourishing society. That’s why The National Lottery Community Fund supports amazing community-led projects, and why we’re looking to make a bigger difference in the years ahead, by listening and responding to communities and by focusing on supporting bolder change. Thanks to National Lottery players, we plan to distribute at least £4 billion of funding by 2030. Supporting projects that will create resilient communities that are more inclusive and environmentally sustainable. Projects that will strengthen society and improve lives across the UK. Our work is divided into five portfolios, covering funding across England, Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland, and the UK. Each of these portfolios has its own committee of non-executives making major funding decisions via three funding streams: small grants under £20,000, larger grants of over £20,001 and partnership grants that support organisations to collaborate and innovate. UnLtd's mission is to reach out and unleash the energies of people who can transform the world in which they live. We call these people social entrepreneurs. We are the leading provider of support to social entrepreneurs in the UK and offers the largest such network in the world. We resource nearly 1,000 individuals each year through our core Awards programme. We operate a unique model by investing directly in individuals and offering a complete package of resources; from Awards of funding between £500 and £15,000 to ongoing advice, networking and practical support. We also resource community entrepreneurs to start-up; support those with more established ventures to scale up; and are committed to developing an eco-system of support to make it easier for those who need help to find it.
