International Accreditation New Zealand is the national authority for the accreditation of testing and calibration laboratories, inspection bodies and medical imaging services. IANZ accredits laboratories to the ISO standards 17025, 15189, inspection bodies to ISO 17020, reference material producers to ISO 17034, and proficiency testing providers to ISO 17043. IANZ accreditation is recognised by Regulators throughout New Zealand, and through the ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation) Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA). Worldwide, there are accreditation bodies doing the same things as IANZ. Between them, formal arrangements have been established to make it easier for goods and services to move across borders. Regulators and specifiers worldwide can have confidence in accredited results and reports, no matter what country they come from.
