As Founder and CEO of Hymn, Jesse accelerates DEI impact via consulting, education and community building services. Hymn's mission is to educate so we can celebrate. Hymn's vision is to create a world where individuals feel seen, heard, valued and respected. Jesse Gutierrez, M.A. Leadership Development (MLD), Founded Hymn in 2020, a tumultuous time when Covid-19 and anti-Black and anti-Asian rhetoric was running rampant. Launching Hymn was Jesse's way of creating light during a dark time. Jesse is a results-driven thought leader with over 9 years of experience spanning the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) space. Jesse most recently sat on Upwork's Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (DIBs) team, where he increased team member community building and professional development satisfaction scores, established a benchmark on "Connectedness" and most importantly contributed to increased sentiments of "Belonging" amongst more than half of the organization. Prior, Jesse launched and scaled DEI efforts at Micron Technology, Uber and Schneider Electric. The scope of his work ranged from Employee Resource Group (ERG) Management, DEI strategic planning, partnership building, DEI consulting and much more.
