Humane Network is the parent nonprofit organization behind Options Veterinary Care and Alive & Thriving, bringing together programs focused on improving animal welfare, strengthening communities, and creating sustainable lifesaving solutions. Humane Network is committed to helping communities dramatically and responsibly increase animal lifesaving through personalized consulting, practical resources, model programs, training, and networking opportunities for humane organizations, animal services agencies, rescue groups, and individuals dedicated to making a difference. Options Veterinary Care is Northern Nevada’s first and only nonprofit veterinary clinic serving the public. Options provides quality, affordable, and accessible veterinary care for pets who would otherwise suffer without treatment, primarily because their families cannot afford the unexpected cost of veterinary care for a sick or injured pet. More than 70% of Options clients are senior citizens living on limited incomes. By providing accessible care, Options helps keep pets with the people who love them and out of animal shelters. Alive & Thriving is a specialized training program created for shelter and nonprofit clinic staff. The program provides education, tools, and support to improve the welfare of dogs and cats living in shelters and receiving care in nonprofit clinics by investing in the people who care for them. Together, Humane Network, Options Veterinary Care, and Alive & Thriving work to create a stronger, more compassionate future for animals and the communities that support them.
