HRConnect.com is proud to offer many free services to our local community. One of the many services we offer is hosting of mailing lists. If you have a common interest group, professional group or community group we are glad to host your list. A common interest group might be gardening or sailing. A professional group might be architects or telcom engineers. A community group might be a homeowners association. Not sure if your idea fits? Email us and explain. Most of the lists are public. We can host private lists, but we prefer to run public community lists. We agree not to spam the lists with large ads. If we ever do advertise on the list, it will be limited to a maximum of 2 text lines at the end of the message. It would be our goal to offer advertising to local businesses. Currently we do not advertise. The list owner gets full control of the list. There is an easy to operate web control panel the list owner can use to set options. We have a few suggestions and will turn on a few features that prevent non-list members from viewing the member list. The list owner can operate the list in a moderated mode, or where subscription approval is required. We reserve the right to shut down a list or dethrone an operator if needed. It isn't our goal to police these things, please don't make users email us with complaints. While it is our goal to run lists for the community, we don't mind if non-local members sign up. It is not in our interest to run (for free) national mailing lists with 50,000 subscribers. We will list the availibility of the mailing list on our site, but outside of the basic listing it is the owners responsibility to advertise the list to people who may be interested. A good description can go a long ways in attracting the wanted audience. So you want a list ... Email listmaster@hrconnect.com with the following information: Name of organization, Subject of mailing list, Estimated members in 2 months, Requested name (the shorter the better). We will respond promptly with a thumbs up or thumbs down. ...
