Ireland’s national reporting centre for suspected illegal and harmful online content. Irish Internet Hotline works to create a safer internet for everyone, with a particular focus on protecting children. We provide a secure, confidential and anonymous reporting service for suspected illegal and harmful content encountered online, including child sexual abuse material, intimate image abuse, racist and xenophobic content, financial scams and other forms of illegal and harmful online material. As a designated Trusted Flagger under the EU Digital Services Act, we also work with online platforms to identify and address illegal content. Reports are assessed by our team and, where appropriate, referred to An Garda Síochána, internet service providers, online platforms and other relevant authorities for action. We work with national and international partners across government, law enforcement, industry and the online safety sector to help tackle illegal and harmful online content and create a safer internet in Ireland. Through our membership programme, we provide organisations with specialist support and expertise, including expert consultancy on CSAM incidents, training for staff and contractors, file signatures and intelligence, and opportunities to support corporate social responsibility and online safety initiatives. hotline.ie/members
