Hooked Wireless Information

Hooked Wireless was founded in September 2004 by John Airey and Mike Bruno, two long-time participants in computer graphics, gaming, entertainment and consumer electronics. Its core mission is the creation of graphic technology for mobile devices, especially cell phones, music players and other portable electronics. Hooked's flagship product is the Hooked Media Player, an on-device engine for advanced user interfaces created with Adobe® Flash®. It features many extensions specific to UI applications and embedded devices, including an open security model, a powerful native-code interface, real-time control features an event-driven programming paradigm, and the ability to mix 2D and 3D interface elements. It also takes advantage hardware graphic acceleration, when present. Hooked's other products include a VG-on-ES implementation, and an authoring and playback system for 3D user interfaces. Hooked is very active in the OpenGL® standards community, and is the creator of the conformance test suite for OpenGL® ES 2.0. Hooked also provides engineering services to clients in the mobile computing industry.
