Our mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military and veteran families by improving their financial, emotional, and social well-being. Through a robust array of valued and life-changing programs that address the specific short-term, critical assistance, long-term stability, and recurring family support needs they experience, Operation Homefront can help military families overcome short-term difficulties so they don’t become long-term hardships. Since its inception, we have provided over $49 million in assistance for military families through our Critical Financial Assistance program. Our housing programs have served hundreds of service members and their families during the critical transition period to civilian life, providing millions in housing support. TAPS is the national nonprofit organization providing compassionate care and comprehensive resources to all those grieving a death in the military or veteran community. Since 1994, TAPS has provided comfort and hope 24/7 through a national peer support network and connection to grief resources, all at no cost to surviving families and loved ones. TAPS provides a variety of programs to survivors nationally and worldwide. Our National Military Survivor Seminar and Good Grief Camp has been held annually in Washington, D.C., over Memorial Day weekend since 1994. TAPS also conducts regional survivor seminars for adults and youth programs at locations across the country, as well as retreats and expeditions around the world.
